Training and Skill Development Programme by LVSS

Techno-Managerial Skills for Rural Women

 

Supported by NCJD, LVSS conducted a specialized training program for rural women in Alwar, Rajasthan, with a focus on women from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Many of these women were uneducated and financially dependent on their husbands or fathers. The initiative aimed to empower them by providing the skills and knowledge necessary to become self-reliant, enhance their livelihoods, and improve their socio-economic standing.

 

Objectives of the Program

  1. Skill Enhancement: Training women in techno-managerial skills to create entrepreneurial opportunities.
  2. Economic Empowerment: Enabling women to establish micro and small enterprises, thereby strengthening economically disadvantaged communities.
  3. Social Transformation: Raising awareness about literacy, health, nutrition, family welfare, and legal rights, empowering women to actively participate in their communities.

Program Implementation

  • Training Centers: Located in rural branch offices, offering courses designed to equip women with the tools needed to start and manage their enterprises.
  • Focus Areas: Entrepreneurship development, management techniques, and communication skills to help women engage effectively with social and economic partners.
  • Monitoring and Feedback: Agencies developed tailored training modules for specific groups and monitored their effectiveness to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Key Achievements

 

Self-Help Group (SHG) Women Training (MEDP)

 

Supported by NABARD in Block Kotkasim (2009–10)

  • Skills Developed: Women were trained in sewing and stitching various useful items, including dresses, bags, and ladies’ purses.
  • Impact: This training enabled women to earn a livelihood and improve their economic independence.

Supported by NABARD in Block Umrain (2021–22)

  • Skills Developed: A group of 30 women was trained to create Mudhas (woven stools), Mudhis (small chairs), and chairs, which are widely used in homes, restaurants, and other establishments.
  • Impact: These products have become a source of income, empowering women to contribute to their household finances and participate in the local economy.

Program Outcomes

  1. Increased Confidence and Independence: Women have become more self-reliant, leading to significant improvements in their quality of life.
  2. Income-Generating Activities: Many women now manage their own businesses, contributing to household and community development.
  3. Awareness and Education: The program has fostered awareness about critical issues such as literacy, health, and legal rights, creating a more informed and empowered community.

Through its comprehensive training and skill development programs, LVSS is creating lasting change by empowering rural women to break free from financial dependence, build sustainable livelihoods, and actively participate in their communities’ social and economic development.

 

Training Under DPIP Run By World Bank In Dausa, District In Block Bandikui.

 

These training programs were organized to develop the skills of economically disadvantaged individuals from various communities in Block Bandikui. The initiative aimed to empower participants by providing them with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in diverse livelihood activities.

 

The training covered a wide range of skills, including:

  • Grinding wheat and preparing spices to enhance self-reliance in food production.
  • Making various types of soaps, promoting hygiene and entrepreneurship opportunities.
  • Rearing goats and sheep, enabling participants to engage in profitable livestock farming.
  • Crafting lanterns and building materials, offering avenues for income generation through creative and functional products.
  • Preparing papad and mangodis, traditional food items with high market demand.
  • Operating poultry farms, equipping trainees with skills to run successful small-scale poultry businesses.

These training sessions not only aimed to improve the economic standards of the participants but also fostered self-reliance and entrepreneurial growth within the community

 

TRAININGS RUN BY DIC BHIWADI AND DIC ALWAR

 

The training programs aimed to enhance women’s skills in crafting various types of clothing, bags, and purses. These initiatives empowered participants to create high-quality, marketable products. The goal was to promote self-reliance and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities.
